So what are YOUR dietary needs? Do you have something quite specific or are they quite general?

Some things you may wish to consider:

  1. Do you have high blood pressure? If you do you may need to look at reducing sodium in your diet by avoiding too many canned or processed foods.
  2. Do you need to lose weight? You need to decrease your calorie intake or increase the amount of physical exercise. Fad diets don’t work……choose a diet that works for you and be sure to watch calorie and portion sizes.
  3. Do you have diabetes? If you do then reducing sugar in your diet is must (especially refined)
  4. Do you suffer with high cholesterol? Increasing the intake of soluble fibre like oats can help lower cholesterol and reducing saturated fats increasing omega 3 fatty acids from oily fish, nuts and seeds can also help.
