So what are YOUR dietary needs? Do you have something quite specific or are they quite general?
Some things you may wish to consider:
- Do you have high blood pressure? If you do you may need to look at reducing sodium in your diet by avoiding too many canned or processed foods.
- Do you need to lose weight? You need to decrease your calorie intake or increase the amount of physical exercise. Fad diets don’t work……choose a diet that works for you and be sure to watch calorie and portion sizes.
- Do you have diabetes? If you do then reducing sugar in your diet is must (especially refined)
- Do you suffer with high cholesterol? Increasing the intake of soluble fibre like oats can help lower cholesterol and reducing saturated fats increasing omega 3 fatty acids from oily fish, nuts and seeds can also help.
